Motor model Full analysis: What is the meaning of letters and codes?

Understanding the motor needs to start with the model of the motor, and it is necessary to determine at a glance what type of motor the motor is, what place it is used for and the basic motor parameters among many motor types. These things are actually not that difficult, we will break them down in detail below:

Generally speaking, the motor model is composed of four parts: product code, specification code, special place code and additional code.

Example 1: YB2 280-4W.Y stands for asynchronous motor, B stands for flameproof type, 2 stands for secondary plan, 280 stands for frame number (with central high performance), S stands for short frame (M stands for medium frame, L stands for long frame), W stands for outdoor.

Example 2: YKK4502-4. This 4502 represents the second gear power in the frame number 450.

The meaning of the code in the model:

Y- stands for "different" step motor;

B- stands for "explosion proof", YB stands for flameproof induction motor;

A- represents increased "safety" type explosion-proof, YA represents increased safety asynchronous motor, YB belongs to the "explosion-proof" motor;

K- stands for "air" cold, such as YKK represents the asynchronous motor in the body, the primary and secondary cooling medium of the cooler are atmosphere cooled.

S- represents the "water" cold, transport "transport" machine, such as YBKS represents the internal motor for air cooling, the cooler is the explosion-proof motor of the water cooling system;

YBS is a special explosion-proof motor for conveyors.

R- stands for "wound" rotor motor, such as YR is a wound rotor asynchronous motor;

P- stands for "screen" shield, such as YP is a shielded asynchronous motor;

L- stands for "vertical" type, such as YL is a vertical asynchronous motor;

J- stands for "winch" motor, such as YBJ refers to the winch special explosion-proof motor;

F- stands for "ventilation" and "dust", such as YBF stands for fan special explosion-proof motor, YFB stands for dust explosion-proof motor;

T- "ventilation", "same" step; T, TK, stands for synchronous motor.

W stands for "no" spark, brushless excitation, such as YW stands for non-spark type three-phase asynchronous motor, TAW stands for increased safety type brushless excitation synchronous motor.

GB- represents "pipe" and "pump", such as YBGB represents flameproof induction motor for pipelines;

PT- stands for variable frequency speed regulation.

Examples are as follows:

YBX3 explosion-proof motor Model:

Analysis of YBX3-132M2-6F

Y- stands for: asynchronous motor

B- stands for: Flameproof

X- stands for: High efficiency and energy saving

3- indicates the design number. 3 indicates the third design

132- Stands for: center height of the frame (132mm)

M- stands for: Frame length (M stands for middle frame)

2- Indicates: number 2 core length

6- Represents: Number of poles (6 poles)

F- stands for: Special environmental code (anticorrosive type)

B3 Installation mode: Base connection

B5 Installation mode: French connection

B35 Installation mode: Footing + flange connection

It should be noted here that all models are composed of Chinese pinyin letters, and it is very simple to install the type of motor to understand and remember
