Before understanding dust-proof and explosion-proof motors, first understand how to divide the dangerous places of dust explosion. Dust explosion hazard sites are divided into two zones according to the frequency and duration of the occurrence of explosive or combustible dust environments.
Zone 10: In the normal processing, treatment or cleaning process, there is or may appear dust cloud or dust layer mixed with the air can reach the explosive concentration of the area. Zone 11: is not classified as zone 10, but under abnormal conditions in the site of dust cloud, dust mixed with the air can reach the explosive concentration of the area. In order to work normally in the above areas, the shell of the dust explosion-proof motor is also divided into two categories according to its ability to limit dust:
Dust tight housing, housing protection class IP6X, marked DT:
Dustproof case, the case protection class is IP5X, marked DP.
When choosing a dust explosion-proof motor, the appropriate type of dust explosion-proof motor can generally be selected according to two aspects
First, select the protection type according to the corresponding motor in different dangerous places
Then select according to the nature, type and temperature group of dust
